After a fateful incident late October 2024, my little sister, a young single mom who has endured domestic violence and trauma during most of her life, was admitted to rehab to help her start a life of sobriety while her two little girls S (6) and L (4) are looked after by myself and their grandma.  We are currently living in a little farmhouse and they visit their mommy every Sunday. 

Thanks to so many generous hearts, we have managed to raise enough money to fund two months of rehab and to support living costs for us and the girls to get by until now. 

After rehab she will follow a 90 day program back in society, attending a meeting with her fellowship daily for 3 months. She’ll need a safe home, emotional support, and time to find a job and her footing as a single mom with two little girls.

To say the journey ahead is tough is an understatement, and we still need funds for the stretch ahead.

To raise funds, as artists and poets, we have poured our hearts into creating a 2025 calendar of hope and beauty, celebrating the resilience of women overcoming abuse,  the disease of addiction and the societal stigma that comes with it.

We invite you to pledge R500 / $45 (AUD) or more. For this you will receive a colourful ring bound A4 2025 calendar with my unique art and my mom’s heartfelt poetry, which will directly support my sister and her girls. All funds will be managed by myself and my mom and not my
