Yoga & Embodiment Offerings for Zouk Dancers
As a 500HR certified Yoga Teacher, movement educator, and Zouk dancer, I’m passionate about creating embodied spaces where people can soften into themselves, feel deeply, and move with intention.
My long-time love affair with both Yoga and Brazilian Zouk inspired me to develop sessions that help dancers truly land in their bodies—so they can experience the magic of Zouk more fully. Drawing from over a decade of yoga experience, insights from my studies with Layssa and Izzy, and my current work with DanceIM in Melbourne, I’ve designed practices that support dancers in restoring tired bodies, deepening technique, and cultivating presence.
Each session is 1 hour and tailored to work with the flow of the Zouk workshop schedule—not against it. Think of these as nourishing interludes that deepen connection to self, breath, and body.
Melt & Restore
A gentle, restorative session designed to undo the physical toll of back-to-back Zouk workshops. Perfect for mid or late-day scheduling, this session includes:
Yin and somatic yoga stretches
Breathwork to soothe the nervous system
Simple self-massage and partnered stretches
Grounding techniques
Optional sound bath (where facilities permit)
Leave feeling more mobile, present, and ready to receive (or rest).
Unlock Your Zouk Body
(Signature Offering)
This is my signature class—designed to help dancers unlock fluidity, awareness, and embodied confidence in their Zouk. Through combining Yoga techniques, movement drills and mindful embodiment practices, I hope to create a space that allows participants to experience the magic that Zouk has to offer more deeply.
We’ll work on:
Embodied Zouk Techniques including the art of weight-shift, polarity, elasticity, axis and more
Grounding through a strong foundation in feet & hips
Finding Flow through softening the chest, shoulders & hands
Mindful Movement & Joint Release work
Mindset and awareness techniques to enhance connection, playfulness & trust in the body
A perfect warm-up before Zouk workshops—or a midday reset to help dancers reconnect to their bodies from the inside out.
