Namaste,

I am Nici, a qualified 500HR yoga teacher (graduated from Akasha Yoga Academy). I have practised Yoga for over 8 years. I feel passionate about sharing what I have learned and experienced throughout my Yoga practice and in life.

Yoga, in my experience, is the embrace of, and devotion to, Life itself, through a deep conversation between Breath, Movement and Heart. There is nowhere to get to, you are already perfect. Yoga is the nurturing embrace of this fact.

You are the vast power and total truth of this cosmos arising as pure intelligence and utter beauty, already in perfect harmony with the whole cosmos and all its function. Yoga is your embrace of this fact. - Mark Whitwell

I endeavour to teach the practical tools of Yoga and hold the space for you to explore these tools and develop your own personal practice. To bring forth your very own innate truth, to fully embrace the gifts of that which is already within you, and to bring this into your daily life.

From my own experience, Breath is the direct link to the phenomena of being alive. Breath is a direct pathway to the present moment. It is never not Now. If you can fall in love with your breath, and so, fall in love with the present moment, you have nothing to fear. If you can devote your life to the present moment, then you are free of all suffering. Not pain - of course there will be pain. Pain is part of life. If you pledge your love for life through thick and thin, to love it, even when it is not perfect (even when there is pain) - this is when you can live. Because this way, your unconditional love for the present moment moves through all the challenges life brings to you. Everything transforms into an opportunity to live, and life truly becomes a gift.

I find words do not quite capture the heart of Yoga, and I would love to show you instead. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more, or come to any of my classes below.

Current Classes

Traditional Hatha Yoga

This is where I started my Yoga journey over a decade ago, and so I have a deep connection to this style. My traditional Hatha Yoga classes start with a short warm-up, traditional sun salutations, and are followed by Asana sequences allowing the technology of Hatha Yoga to do its magic through balancing Chakras, moving energy around the body, and staying in stationary positions for a bit longer than a traditional Vinyasa class.

Slow Hatha Flow

With emphasis on the breath and its relationship to the body, in this class we move through a gentle Hatha flow. Guiding the mind into the heart, bringing you back home to yourself, and ending with a short guided meditation.

Yin and meditation

Dropping deeply into the heart. Learning to hold space for ourselves, surrendering into Yin poses for long periods of time which allows the connective tissues around the joints to release, works with the fascia and the meridian of the body, and bring us into a deep connection and stilness with what is present. There is nowhere to get to. You are already here.

Yoga for Kids

My kids yoga classes are usually between 20 to 30 minutes long, and takes a fun, engaging, playful and compassionate approach with a focus on helping kids cultivate an awareness of their whole selves: body, mind and heart. Kids have a beautiful, natural curiosity about the world they live in and themselves, and yoga is a wonderful way for them to take this curiosity deeper and explore for themselves what it means to be alive.

Here are what some have said:

Nici has a warm and gentle presence that makes taking her class a pleasure.  She has a natural inner strength that is both relaxing and welcoming. She is very knowledgeable and at the same time kind, caring and works from the heart.   I would absolutely recommend her as a teacher. “ - Erin, 34, Canada

I love Nici, she is a highly intuitive yoga instructor who facilitates her classes very smoothly and fluidly. Her classes are both calming and rejuvenating, balancing the mind and body in harmonious union, and leaving you in a state of peace. Her strongest traits: care, compassion and love shine through in her classes. Her aura is infectious! “- Alice, 25, California

Nici’s class was like soothing music, flowing in slow rhythm, just right enough to understand the body through the heart
- Sim, 40, Malaysia

I would sum up Nici’s style as relaxing, slowing down the mind, getting in touch with true self. After her class I felt very grounded and peaceful. I think it is great for people who want to calm down after a busy, stressful day.” - Sylvia, 30, London

Private Sessions:

I come to you. This is a beautiful way to get into Yoga for absolute beginners, or those who want to go deeper with their practice. This is something I am particularly passionate about and inspired to do. Working one-on-one is such a gift to both the teacher and the student. We start with working out whether you have any goals or intentions and from there, we create a self practice that you can continue with on your own :)

House Calls:

I am doing house calls - i.e. if you gather a group of 5 or more, we can discuss yoga classes for you and your group at either a house, or a studio. This is all negotiable.

Please feel free to give me a call on 0466573434 or email me at nicikellerman@gmail.com for further enquiries.
